Delete your RadLinguist account
Updated September 29, 2026
This page explains how to delete your account in RadLinguist, the language-learning app for iPhone, Android and the web, developed by Radext Software Inc. Deleting your account permanently erases it and the data in it, on every device. It happens straight away and cannot be undone. If you would like a copy of your data first, use Settings › Privacy & data › Download my data before you delete.
Before you start: your subscription
A subscription bought on the web is cancelled for you when you delete your account: billing stops at once, with no further charge, and the unused part of the current month is not refunded. A subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play is not — only the store can stop it, so cancel it there first, or you may keep being charged:
- App Store — in RadLinguist, Settings › Plan › Manage subscription, or on your iPhone, Settings › your name › Subscriptions.
- Google Play — in RadLinguist, Settings › Plan › Manage subscription, or in the Play Store app, your profile › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions.
- Web — at www.radlinguist.app, Settings › Plan › Manage subscription.
If a web subscription is ever charged after you deleted your account, write to info@radext.com and we will stop it. App Store and Google Play subscriptions can only be cancelled in the store.
Delete in the app (iPhone or Android)
- Open RadLinguist and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Open Settings.
- Tap Account.
- Tap Delete my account.
- Confirm. Your account is deleted and you are signed out on every device.
If RadLinguist is showing the screen that asks you to agree to share data with OpenAI, tap Delete my account on that screen.
Delete on the web
- Go to www.radlinguist.app/settings/account and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Choose Delete my account. (If the web app is showing the screen that asks you to agree to share data with OpenAI, choose Delete my account on that screen.)
- Confirm. Your account is deleted and you are signed out on every device.
If you can't use the app or the web app
Write to info@radext.com with the subject “Delete my account”, ideally from the email address you sign in with. Tell us how you sign in (Apple, Google, or email and password) so we can find the account. We may ask you to confirm the request before we act on it; we then delete the account exactly as the in-app button does and reply to confirm.
What is deleted
- Your account: your email address, your Apple, Google or password sign-in, and every signed-in session. If you signed in with Apple, we also revoke RadLinguist's access to your Apple ID.
- Your profile: name, preferred name, and profile photo.
- Everything you learned with: your languages, goals, level estimates, lessons, practice, level checks and their recordings, word reviews, progress, and the notes the teacher keeps about you (“What RadLinguist remembers”).
- All your conversations, with their audio and images.
- Reports you filed about AI replies.
- Speech-analysis data: recordings, transcripts, and observations.
- Your settings, consent choices, notification preferences and push tokens, and the campaign that brought you, if one was recorded.
- Your plan's standing in RadLinguist: its status, your minutes used, and the link to your payment-provider customer record.
- Analytics events about you that had not yet been processed.
What is kept, and for how long
- Billing records. The record of each purchase and renewal from the App Store, Google Play or Stripe (plan, amount, dates, and the store's transaction reference) is kept, with the link to your account removed, for tax and accounting purposes.
- Web free-week card code. If you started a free week on the web, a one-way code derived from the card (never the card number) is kept, unlinked from you and without expiry, so that the same card cannot start a second free week.
- Server logs expire after 7 days.
- Analytics events already recorded carry only a pseudonym — never your name, email address, or anything you wrote or said — and expire on their normal schedule: about 13 months, operational events about 3 months, and audit events (plan changes, security refusals, and the record that your deletion was carried out) about 2 years.
- Accountability records. If our staff ever opened your account's data, the record that they did is kept with the link to you removed.
- Other companies' copies. Apple, Google and Stripe keep their own records of your purchases, and data already sent to our service providers (such as OpenAI, or Google for ad measurement on Android) is handled under their terms. The Privacy Policy describes each of them.
Deleting only part of your data
You can also delete some data and keep your account. These need the app's settings; if you haven't agreed to sharing with OpenAI, email info@radext.com instead.
- Chat history — Settings › Privacy & data › Clear chat history deletes all your conversations with their audio and images. You can also delete a single conversation, or choose to keep only the last 100 turns or the last 30 days. Reports you filed about AI replies keep their own copy of the reply and stay until you delete your account.
- One language — Settings › Languages › the language › “Remove language” erases that language's learning history on all devices. (Make another language active first; the active one cannot be removed.)
- What the teacher remembers — Settings › Languages › the language › What RadLinguist remembers lets you correct, hide, or remove any item.
- Speech data — Settings › Speech › “Delete my language speech data” deletes one language's recordings, transcripts and observations; “Turn off and delete my speech data” stops speech analysis and deletes all of it. A record of when you turned speech analysis on and off is kept.
